Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies to brief media on the outcomes of the Presidential B-BBEE Advisory Council meeting

Members of the media are invited to the Presidential Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Advisory Council media briefing that will be addressed by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies. The briefing will follow the Presidential B-BBEE Advisory Council meeting to be chaired by President Jacob Zuma.

The media briefing will focus on, amongst others, the progress of reviewing the B-BBEE Act and the Codes of Good Practice.

Venue: Union Buildings, Media Centre (Please present press cards or ID)

The B-BBEE Advisory Council is chaired by the President and is made up of the following members: Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies, Economic Development Minister Ebrahim Patel, Labour Minister Mildred Oliphant and Women, Youth, Children and People with Disabilities Minister Lulu Xingwana as well as members Mohammed Jahed, Eltie Links, Chantyl Mulder, Sebenzile Matsebula, Andile Lungisa, Jerry Vilakazi, Dumisani Mthalane, Ellen Tshabalala, Sdumo Dlamini, Don Mkhwanazi, Matshego Ramagaga, Claudia Manning, Wendy Lucas-Bull, Tsakani Matshazi and Sandile Zungu.

Members of the media wishing to attend should submit their details i.e. name and media house to BLukhele@thedti.gov.za or sms 074 299 8512 by 10h00 tomorrow morning, and RSVP will not be accepted after 10h00.
