Trade and Industry Minister, Dr Rob Davies to launch the Industrial Policy Action Plan (IPAP) 2012-2014 and to outline strategic priorities of the manufacturing competitiveness enhancement programme

Members of the media are invited to the launch of the Industrial Policy Action Plan (IPAP) 2011/12 – 13/14 which will be hosted by Trade and Industry Minister, Dr Rob Davies at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). Presentations will also be provided by DirectorGeneral Lionel October; Deputy Director-General, Nimrod Zalk and IDC Chief Executive Officer, Geoffrey Qhena.

Date: 2 April 2012
Time: 10:00 – 12:00
Venue: IDC Auditorium, 19 Fredman Drive, Sandown, Sandton. (Entrance to the Auditorium is on Grayston Drive.)

The briefing aims to communicate:

  • The significant progress achieved with respect to the implementation of IPAP;
  • The framework and principles of the new Manufacturing Competitiveness Enhancement Programme; and
  • A range of other key programmes including new interventions contained in the IPAP such as the Special Economic Zones (SEZ’s).
