Minister Sisulu signs Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the government of Sultanate of Oman on Defence Cooperation

The Minister of Defence and Military Veterans Honourable Ms Lindiwe Sisulu, will tomorrow, 13 March 2012, sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Minister of Defence Affairs in Oman, HE Sayyid Bader Bin Saud Bin Harib Al-Busaidi on Defence Cooperation through exchange of experiences and knowledge between the two countries.

The areas of cooperation between the armed forces of both parties, Republic of South Africa Department of Defence and Oman Ministry of Defence include among others, Military Health, strengthening cooperation in field of training, and exchange of official visits.

The MOU also seeks to encourage and facilitate industrial cooperation between the two countries on installations specialising in the field of research and development of defence equipment.
