3 Jul 2009 Question 357 Dr JC Kloppers- Lourens (DA) to ask the Minister of Basic Education:
(1) Whether a function was held by her department to celebrate her appointment as minister; if so, (a) how much did the function cost, (b) what is the breakdown of the cost and (c) how many guests attended the function;
(2) Whether there were any related costs for the travel and accommodation of guests; if so, (a) what were the costs and (b) what was the breakdown of these costs? Reply:
(1) There was no function held by the department to celebrate the appointment of the Minister of Basic Education.
