Premier reshuffles Free State Executive Council

Premier Ace Magashule today announced that he has decided to reshuffle the Free State Provincial Executive Council. This follows extensive consultations with the ruling party, the African National Congress, its Leagues and the Alliance partners.

Premier Magashule has made the following changes to the Executive Council:

1) Ms. Olly Mlamleli has been appointed as the MEC responsible for Cooperative Governance, Traditional Affairs and Human Settlement. Ms Mlamleli has been serving as the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance, Traditional Affairs and Human Settlement in the Free State Legislature.

2) Ms. Mamiki Qabathe has been appointed as the MEC responsible for Economic Development, Tourism and Environment Affairs. Ms. Qabathe has been serving as the MEC responsible for Cooperative Governance, Traditional Affairs and Human Settlement.

Following this announcement, the Executive Council is constituted as follows:

Mr. D.A.M Kgothule	MEC: Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation
Mr. B Komphela	MEC: Police, Roads and Transport
Ms. S Mabe	MEC: Public Works
Mr PHI Makgoe	MEC: Education
Ms. M Mlamleli	MEC: Cooperative Governance, Traditional Affairs and Human Settlement
Mr. SJ Mohai	MEC: Finance
Ms. F Ngubentombi	MEC: Health
Ms. S Ntombela	MEC: Social Development
Ms. M Qabathe	MEC: Economic Development, Tourism & Environmental Affairs
Mr. M Zwane	MEC: Agriculture and Rural Development
