17 Feb 2012

The MEC for Health in the province, Mr Mxolisi Sokatsha, would like to take this opportunity to invite all media as well as to inform the people of the Northern Cape of the Northern Cape Department of Health’s planned achievement awards ceremony event to take place in Upington.

The HIV Counseling and Testing Campaign(HCT) launched by the President, His Excellency,  Mr Jacob Zuma and soon afterwards by Honorable Premier Hazel Jenkins in April 2010. A national target was set for the country and each province was given a specific target to test their citizens for HIV as well as getting them on ARV treatment as soon as possible.

The achievement awards ceremony aims to congratulate and express gratitude to all involved in the campaign who ensured the Northern Cape Province achieved it’s set targets between 1 April 2010 and 30 June 2011.

Details of the event are as follows:
Date: Monday, 20 February 2012
Venue: Upington FET College Campus, Rand, Upington, Khara Hais Municipality,  Siyanda District
Time: 10h30 to 13h00
