Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature will hold the departments' Portfolio Committee meetings this week, starting on Thursday, 24 February 2012.

Items to be discussed in these committee meetings include departments' programme of action for 2012/13 financial year and implementation of House resolutions by provincial departments. These committees are in this way subjected to account to the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature as it is has a constitutional obligation to exercise oversight on all provincial departments.
