Eastern Cape MEC for Transport, Roads and Public Works, Thandiswa Marawu, to address the memorial service for the Aberdeen road accident victims

Eastern Cape MEC for Transport, Roads and Public Works, Thandiswa Marawu, will address the memorial service for the victims of the recent Aberdeen Accident at the Tsomo Town Hall today, Thursday 26 January 2012 at 10am.

All the affected families have been contacted and meetings have been held with them, visited and assessed with the assistance of Social Development. The Road Accident Fund (RAF) has assisted with the transportation of corpses from Graaff Reinett Forensic Pathology Services to Kunene Funerals in Butterworth, caskets will also be provided by RAF.

The departmental Spiritual Services Unit has played a major role in the debriefing sessions and families' counselling.
