Media alert on 2011 Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) Medium Term Budget Policy Statement

Gauteng MEC for Finance, Mr. Mandla Nkomfe, will present the 2011 Medium Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) to the Provincial Legislature on Tuesday, 22 November 2011. 

The 2011 MTBPS outlines how funding has been allocated to achieve the priorities, outcomes and outputs of the Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG). The publication takes into account the available fiscal resources, and demonstrates how the provincial budget will be utilised to continuously improve service delivery to the citizens of Gauteng.

Key highlights include:

  • In-depth analysis of GPG financial expenditure trends and impact on service delivery.
  • Interventions made to ensure compliance with financial management regulations.
  • Mobilisation of resources to fund provincial priorities in the medium term period.
