Winnie Madikizela-Mandela heads Human Settlements Sanitation Task Team visit to the Eastern Cape

Winnie Madikizela-Mandela will lead the Ministerial Sanitation Task Team on a visit to the Eastern Cape from 1 to 5 November 2011.

The Task Team will, amongst others, meet representatives of the provincial government and engage communities in areas such as East London, Port Elizabeth, Mthatha, Bedford, Adelaide and Mount Ayliff.

The Task Team was set up by Human Settlements Minister Tokyo Sexwale in September and its mandate is to advise him on how to deal with the problem of incomplete and uncovered toilets in the country. It is expected to report back to the Minister in January next year.
