Housing regional forums will be launched per district which will be visited by the MEC during the month of October. The forums will discuss housing delivery issues within the context of the district. These will be launched in all districts throughout the province.

The MEC will also meet with traditional leaders, councils in municipalities. She will also meet with Small, Medium Micro-Economic (SMME’s) and contractors employed by the department to maximise spending and discuss SMME opportunities in the department.

Other stakeholders to be met include public-private financial institutions, post summit with military veterans and non governmental organisation coalition. The housing month will end with a handover of a complete house to a disabled, bedridden woman in Jeffrey’s bay on 29 October.
