One of the Mzamba muti killings affected family to receive a shelter

2 Sep 2009

Following a meeting with the MEC for Transport, Safety and Liaison, Ms Ghishma Barry, last month, a family that was left homeless by the Mzamba muti killings will receive a temporary housing structure from the provincial Department of Human Settlement on Thursday, 3 September 2009.

Nomakeba Phakathi from Sea View in Mzamba, requested MEC Barry and the Municipality to intervene by providing shelter after she was left without a house due to local unrest following the killings.

The temporary structure will be officially handed over by the Mbizana Municipality Mayor Councillor Twabu and local traditional leaders at Seaview at 10h00.
