Polokwane: The Executive Council (EXCO) of the Limpopo provincial government held a special meeting yesterday on 25 May 2011. This meeting coincided with the International celebration of Africa Day.
EXCO appreciated the good work done by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) in running the third democratic Local Government elections which were held on 18 May 2011. The meeting welcomed the manner in which political parties in the province conducted themselves during the electioneering period that culminated into free, fair and credible elections. EXCO also appreciated the high voter turnout that was experienced on Election Day in the province as testimony to the fact that people in the province are committed to protect democracy of our country.

This will be done to, among others, accelerate service delivery to the people and also to ensure that the Limpopo provincial government achieves the objectives of Operation Clean Audit 2014.
