President Zuma to attend Rivonia Trialist Gala Awards
11 Jul 2011 President Jacob Zuma will this evening, 11 July 2011, deliver a keynote address at the Rivonia Trialist Gala Awards to be held at the Sandton Convention Centre. The awards which will be hosted by the Department of Arts and Culture and the uMkhonto weSizwe Military Veterans Association (MKVA) will pay tribute to the 12 struggle veterans who formed part of the infamous Rivonia Trial. The 12 trialists to be honoured are Walter Sisulu, Govan Mbeki, Nelson Mandela, Rusty Bernstein, Ahmed Kathrada, Denis Goldberg, James Kantor, Andrew Mlangeni, Raymond Mhlaba and Elias Motsoaledi.
