Cote d'Ivoire Army General seeks refuge
31 Mar 2011 The South African Government wishes to inform that Chief of Staff of the Army, General Phillippe Mangou of the Defence and Security Forces of Cote d'Ivoire (FDS), has last night sought refuge at the official residence of our Ambassador to Cote d'Ivoire, Ms Zodwa Lallie. The General is in company of his wife and five children. The South African Government is in consultation with the relevant parties in the Ivory Coast, Economic Community of West African States, the African Union and the United Nations regarding this matter.
