MEC put agrarian reform into perspective

18 Mar 2011

The Department of Rural Development and Agrarian Reform will hold an auction of piglets at the Tsolo Agriculture and Rural Development Institute in Tsolo on 23 March 2011.

The piglets will be strictly sold to farmers who are having a recommendation letter from animal health technicians or state vets, which are obtainable at all local agricultural offices.

Following the culling of pigs during the outbreak of swine fever, Tsolo College has embarked on re-stocking campaign in a bid to sell quality piglets to farmers.

Farmers are urged to bring a refundable deposit of R300 and to arrive at least an hour before the start of the sale in order to view the piglets.

The auction will start at 09h00.
