MEC de Lille deploys Social Worker to Macassar home of missing 7 month old baby

17 Feb 2011

Patricia de Lille, the Western Cape Minister for Social Development yesterday evening deployed a social worker to the Macassar home of a missing 7-month old baby.

The baby boy disappeared after his mother apparently left him alone with her sister's 7-year old foster child and went to the container shop nearby.

'The mother apparently reported the child's disappearance immediately,' Ms De Lille says.

'Our social worker is investigating and her report will be complete by mid-morning.'
