MEC Mandla Masuku condemns the brutal attack of Ehlanzeni District Municipality Chief Whip, Councillor Johan Ndlovu

6 Jan 2011

The MEC for the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Mr Madala Masuku has condemned in the strongest possible terms the brutal attack and killing of Ehlanzeni District Municipality Chief Whip, Councillor Johan Ndlovu.

MEC Masuku has called on the law enforcement agents to do all they can to investigate and apprehend these unscrupulous criminals who have no regard for human life. “It is with great regret and loss to the Ehlanzeni District Municipality, Mpumalanga Provincial Government and the entire province that I received such disturbing news. We believe that the country’s law enforcement agents will get to the bottom of the incident,” said Masuku.

MEC Masuku has also thanked the immediate and swift response of the MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Mr Vusi Shongwe, and the South African Police Services who have already visited the scene and the family.

MEC Masuku has also sent his heartfelt condolences to the Ndlovu family, Ehlanzeni District Municipality and the province following the incident.
