Minister Dlamini Zuma to sign MoU with Mayor of eThekwini Metro
16 Dec 2010 Home Affairs Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will on Friday 17 December 2010 sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Executive Mayor of the eThekwini Metro, Councillor Obed Mlaba, with a view to the establishment of a partnership between the Department and eThekwini Metro to achieve the objectives of the National Population Register (NPR) campaign. The NPR aims to secure the population register through the registration of all babies within 30 days of birth. In this regard, the late registration of births (LRBs) will cease at the end of December 2010. Media are invited as follows:
