Minister Nzimande to brief the media on the Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) landscape

The Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande will on Tuesday, 9 November 2010 brief the media on the long-awaited reviewed Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) landscape.

In 2009, Minister Nzimande announced that the current SETA licenses were to be extended for another year. This was to allow for the process of transition, after the function was transferred from the Department of Labour to the Department of Higher Education and Training.

The minister will also announce the new SETA landscape and licensing of the SETAs for the next five years.

The media briefing will take place as follows:
Date: Tuesday, 9 November 2010
Time: 10h00 to 11h30
Venue: GCIS Imbizo Media Centre – 120 Plain Street Cape Town.

NB: There will be a video link-up to Union Building – Room 153, Pretoria.
