Newly-appointed Gauteng MECs sworn in

3 Nov 2010

Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane will, together with the newly-appointed MECs, address members of the media following a swearing-in ceremony of three of the four newly-appointed Members of the Provincial Executive Council (MECs) today, 3 November 2010. Judge Bernard Ngoepe will conduct the swearing-in ceremony of Ms Ntombi Mekgwe, who will be MEC for Health and Social Development; Mr Lebogang Maile (Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation); and Mr Humphrey Mmemezi (Local Government and Housing). Mr Ishmael Vadi, who has been appointed MEC for Roads and Transport will be sworn in at a later stage, when he returns from his overseas trip.

The members of the media are invited to attend.
