Media update by the South African Military Health Service (SAMHS): Deployment of medical teams to hospitals
23 Aug 2010 The South African Military Health Service is currently deploying multi-disciplinary medical teams to the following 34 hospitals:
Gauteng 1. Natalspruit Hospital 2. Chris HaniBaragwanath Hospital 3. Helen Joseph Hospital 4. Kalafong Hospital 5. George Mukhari Hospital 6. Steve Biko 7. Tshwane District Hospital 8. Mamelodi Hospital 9. Pretoria West Hospital
North West 10. Brits Hospital 11. Bophelong Hospital in Mafikeng 12. Vryburg 13. North West Hospital
KwaZulu-Natal 14. King Edward VIII Hospital 15. Mahatma Ghandi Memorial Hospital 16. Prince Mshiyeni Hospital 17. Stanger Hospital
Eastern Cape 18. Dora Nzinga Hospital 19. Livingstone Hospital
Limpopo 20. Van Velden Hospital 21. Polokwane Hospital 22. Lebowakgomo Hospital 23. St Rita’s Hospital 24. Maphutha-Malatji Mpumalanga 25. Witbank Hospital 26. Tonga Hospital 27. KwaMhalanga Hospital 28. Mapulaneng Hospital 29. Rob Fereira Hospital 30. Ermelo Hospital 31. Themba Hospital

Depending on the request, a medical team may consists of doctors, nurses and emergency healthcare practitioners.
The South African Military Health Service is also deploying personnel to assist with the cleaning of the hospitals.
