Ministry dismisses an advisor

17 Aug 2010

Ministry for Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities would like to announce the termination of services of Advocate Nomazotsho Memani-Balani as an Advisor to the minister.

Advocate Memani-Balani has not reported for duty for the past three months since May 2010 while receiving her full salary as a senior official in the ministry.

She did not provide any reason for her absence and has not performed any functions required of an advisor during this period.

Prolonged absence of a senior official without leave has a negative effect on the culture of services delivery that is being built within this relatively new ministry.
