Condolences on the death of former deputy minister

27 Jul 2010

Minister for Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities, Ms Noluthando Mayende-Sibiya, expresses her condolences on the death of former Deputy Minister for Justice and Correctional Services, Cheryl Gillwald.

"During her service in government, Cheryl Gillwald played a critical role in spearheading the 16 Days of Activism Campaign on No Violence Against Women and Children which is now being run by the Department for Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities.

"We express our gratitude to her for the major contribution in making the 16 Days of Activism, one of the most recognised campaigns of government, in partnership with civil society," said Minister Mayende-Sibiya.
