Sector Education Authorities (SETAs) to appear before the Portfolio Committee

The Portfolio Committee on Higher Education and Training will, tomorrow get a briefing from Sectoral Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) on, among other things, their special projects for 2010 and Plans to reduce the high unemployment rate among young people within the next 12 months.

The SETAs to appear before the committee will include, the Service Sector Education and Training Authority (SERVICE-SETA), Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Authority (HWSETA), Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Sector Education and Training Authority (MERSETA), and Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority (W and R-SETA).

Time: 09h30

Meanwhile, the Portfolio Committee on Public Service and Administration will get a briefing from the Minister of Public Service and Administration on the Anti-Corruption and Batho Pele programmes of the Department of Public Service and Administration.
