Working together to grow an economy that benefits all

18 Aug 2010

On Tuesday, 17 August 2010, government in partnership with SABC 1 brought you another episode of the reality show called "Rize Mzansi". The sixth episode of this television series featured information on communication skills and management abilities.

The episode focused on government initiative called the Black Business Supplier Development Program (BBSDP) that gives support to black owned enterprises to improve their core competencies and management abilities.

The episode highlighted some information where BBSDP offers grants to black owned enterprises that are registered with Companies and Intellectual Property Registration Office (CIPRO) and South African Revenue Services.

BBSDP offers help such as promotional marketing materials, software development, quality improvement, processes and product improvement, to help business and investors in improving the business’s competitiveness.

The next intake of this BBSDP programme starts in September 2010.

To take advantage of BBSDP, visit the Department of Trade and Industry website, http://www.dti.gov.za or call the helpline on 012 394 1444/1426.

So, make sure to watch "Rize Mzansi" on SABC1 on Tuesday evenings between 18h30 and 19h30 as it highlights the economic opportunities in the Inclusive Economy for emerging entrepreneurs and potential beneficiaries.

Visit http://www.gov.za every Wednesday until 6 October 2010 to find out about economic opportunities that were aired on "Rize Mzansi".
