- Panama City, Panama: United Nations Climate Change meeting, 2 to 7 Oct
While in Panama, Minister Nkoana-Mashabane will sign the Host Country Agreement on behalf of the Government of the Republic of South Africa with the UNFCCC Secretariat for South Africa’s hosting of the COP17/CMP7 in Durban.
- Belgrade, Serbia: Official visit, 6 Sept
Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane undertakes an official visit to the Republic of Serbia. During the visit, the Minister and her Serbian counterpart, Minister Vuk Jeremic, signed a Protocol on Consultations between the Government of the Republic of South Africa and the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
- Republic of Bulgaria: Official visit, 2 to 3 Sept
Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane undertakes an official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria at the invitation of her Bulgarian counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Nickolay Mladenov.
- Berlin, Germany: Petersberg Climate Change conference, 3 to 4 Jul
Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms Maite Nkoana-Mashabane co-hosts the Petersberg Climate Dialogue II with Germany.
- Republic of Mali: Official visit, 21 to 22 Jun
Minister Nkoana-Mashabane's first visit to Mali, gave her an opportunity to interact and stimulate dialogue with her counterpart on issues of common interest and mutual benefit.
- Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo: SA-DRC Ministerial Session of Bi-National Commission, 20 Jun
The purpose of the meeting is to review progress since the Sixth Session of the BNC in 2009, and to promote and foster bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
- New York, United States of America: United Nations Security Council meeting, 14 Jun
The purpose of the meeting is for Ministers representing the African Union High-Level Ad hoc Committee on Libya to brief the United Nations Security Council on the AU Roadmap.
- London, United Kingdom: 9th South Africa–United Kingdom (SA-UK) Bilateral Forum, 9 Jun
The Bilateral Forum was established in 1997 as a structured consultative mechanism between the two governments.

- Tokyo, Japan: Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) follow-up ministerial meeting , 2 to 3 Jun
The meeting focused on closing the MDGs Implementation Gap, strengthening coordination accelerating results to achieve the MDGs by 2015.
- Bali, Indonesia: XVI Ministerial Conference and Commemorative Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), 23 to 27 May
The theme for theConference was “shared vision on the contribution of NAM for the next 50 years”.
- New Delhi, India: 7th India Brazil South Africa (IBSA) Trilateral Commission meeting, 9 Mar
The meeting is in preparation for the fifth IBSA Summit to be hosted by South Africa later this year.
- Geneva, Switzerland: 16th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, 26 to 28 Feb
The United Nations Human Rights Council is the principal UN Organ responsible for the promotion and protection of all the universally recognised human rights and fundamental freedoms globally.
- Addis Ababa, Ethiopia: Ministerial Committee on Post-Conflict Reconstruction and Development, 29 Jan
Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane presided over the meeting of the Ministerial Committee on Post-Conflict Reconstruction and Development in the Sudan.
