  • Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Health and Social Development in Limpopo Province (June 1999 - April 2004).

  • Provincial Secretary of South African Communist Party (SACP) Limpopo (1998 - 2000).
  • Chairperson of South African Communist Party (SACP) (2001 - 2004).
  • Former member of the Central Executive Committee in the SACP (2005-2007)
