Academic Qualifications
  • B Juris degree with distinction in Civil procedure at UNISA (1979).
  • Passed a number of courses towards an LL B degree.

Career/Positions/Memberships/Other Activities
  • Worked in Lebowa and KwaNdebele as Public Prosecutor, Magistrate and Chief Magistrate (1970- 1986).
  • Campaigned against the indepedence of KwaNbebele homeland and detained under the State of Emergency regulations from (1986 - 1988).
  • Stood for elections in the KwaNdebele homeland government together with other comradesin order to revolutionase the homeland government in 1988.
  • Active participant at both Codesa and the Multi-Party negotiations at Kempton Park during 1991 and 1994.
  • Member of Parliament, served National Assembly Portfolio Committees for Justice and Minerals and Energy (April 1994 - June 1999).
