  • Worked as A Librarian at the University of the North FROM 1965 TO 1994.
  • Served as Secretary of United Democratic Front (UDF) Northern Transvaal region from 1983 to 1986.
  • Member and organiser of the Federation of Transvaal Women (FEDTRAW) from 1983 to 1986.
  • Founder Member and National Organiser of the National Education Co-ordination Committee from 1985 to 1986.
