Mpumalanga Presidential Imbizo

30 September - 2 October 2004

President Thabo Mbeki visited Mpumalanga Province from 30 September - 2 October as part of the Imbizo programme of interaction between government and the people. President Mbeki was accompanied by Premier Thabang Makwetla and his executive during the visit.

The theme of the Imbizo was: "Building a people's contract to build a better South Africa and a better world".

This was the eighth visit following similar visits to Limpopo, Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, North West, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
