KwaZulu-Natal Presidential Imbizo

29 - 31 January 2004

President Mbeki participated in an Imbizo in the KwaZulu-Natal Province from 29 to 31 January 2004.

During this Imbizo, President Mbeki and Premier Mtshali met various stakeholders, namely Amakhosi, religious leaders, business, agriculture, education, labour and women formations. They visited projects like the Msinga Vegetable Producers Co-operative in Tugela Ferry and P235 - African Renaissance Roads Project, and participated in an Imbizo-on-Air on Ukhozi FM. They also interacted with the people from various communities, namely Msinga, Osizweni, KwaHlabisa, Ingwavuma, Mahlabathini, Harding and Gamalakhe.

This was the seventh visit following similar visits to Limpopo, Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, North West and Western Cape.
