Social Development Month

1 - 31 October

October marks Social Development Month, which highlights programmes aimed at fighting poverty and building a caring society for a better life. Social Development Month is being launched on 1 October to commemorate and strengthen the “War on Poverty” campaign.

Highlights during the month include International Older Persons Day (1 October) World Food Day (16 October) and International Poverty Eradication Day (17 October).
