National Children’s Day

 First Saturday of November

The Government of the Republic of South Africa declared the first Saturday of November as the National Children’s Day.

National Children's Day 2009

The theme for this year’s celebration is “South Africa Fit for Children: A Call to Accelerate Child Survival.”

A safe childhood contributes to a democratic, non-sexist and non-racial society of prosperous, caring and responsible people.

Government offers a number of services aimed at ensuring that children are kept safe and healthy.
