Post Office and People Opposing Women Abuse hosts 16 Days of Activism exhibition

25 November 2009
As part of Sixteen Days of Activism against Violence against Women and Children, the South African Post Office is joining forces with People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA) to highlight the impact of gender-based violence.
The Post Office and POWA will mount an exhibition of various forms of gender based violence, using the medium of protest art to highlight the struggle for women’s rights through time. It will be a multi-media experience engaging most of the senses, and will include letters written anonymously by women postal workers who detail their experiences of abuse and are addressed to perpetrators.
