Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) registration for domestic workers

Register your domestic worker:

• at your nearest Labour Centre (Department of Labour contact list)
• telephone (012) 337 1680 during office hours. Please have the employer and employee ID numbers at hand. (Office hours extended from 16:00 to 18:30 on weekdays and 08:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays)
• fax the forms to

  • (012) 337 1636/1941/1942 for UI8 D forms or
  • (012) 337 1943/1944/1580/1581/1582 for UI19 D forms
• e-mail the forms as attachments to domestics@uif.gov.za
• register online on the UIF Registration website

• Dail 0867 122 000 and follow the voice prompts to get the registration forms faxed to you ¹⁾
