NO. 12 OF 1994: UNAUTHORISED POST OFFICE EXPENDITURE ACT, 1994.



It is hereby notified that the President has assented to the following Act, which is hereby published for general information:



ACT



To authorise certain unauthorised expenditure from the Post Office Fund.

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa, as follows:-



Authorisation of certain unauthorised expenditure from Post Office Fund



1. (1) Expenditure to the amount of R368 019 574 incurred by the Department of Posts and Telecommunications during the financial year 1990/91 and for which provision has not been made in an Appropriation Act of the said Department is hereby authorised, and the Post Office Fund is hereby charged with the expenditure in question.



(2) The expenditure referred to in subsection (1) is further described in paragraphs 3, 4 and 12, on pages 1, 2 and 8 respectively, of the Report of the Auditor-General on the Accounts of the Department of Posts and Telecommu- nications for the financial year 1990/91 [RP 103/19921, which has been submitted to Parliament, and in the First Report of the Joint Committee on Public Accounts, 1993.



Short title



2. This Act shall be called the Unauthorised Post Office Expenditure Act, 1994.
